The Living Circle
This is how it works:
With a contribution of CHF 4 per person per night, the guests of a hotel from The Living Circle are given the opportunity to invest the CO₂ emissions of their offer or product in climate protection projects with myclimate and make a contribution to local sustainability. At the same time, The Living Circle doubles these contributions and invests them in operational sustainable development, such as the conversion to renewable energies or the promotion of the Quality and Environmental Circle. In this way, the guests achieve a double effect with their commitment.
How does «Cause We Care» work?
The Living Circle consists four hotels, three farms, a restaurant and a château. The following businesses belong to The Living Circle:
The Living Circle is privately owned by the Swiss families Anda and Franz-Bührle. The four luxury hotels of The Living Circle want to take on a pioneering role in the area of sustainability and are strengthening their focus on the careful and respectful use of resources as well as responsible action with regard to people and the environment. Through the partnership with myclimate, the level of sustainability is transparent and publicly communicated. This spurs the businesses on and is a clear commitment to their guests.
The CO2 emissions of The Living Circle guests are offset with the following myclimate carbon offset project: Clean drinking water for schools and households in Uganda.
