This is how it works:
With a contribution of 1.5%, but at least CHF 1, guests of Morges Région Tourisme have the opportunity to invest the CO₂ emissions of their stay in climate protection projects with myclimate. The region doubles your voluntary contribution to «Cause We Care». Voluntary contributions to «Cause We Care» are for example available for the following activities: By purchasing a ticket for a guided tour Sévery Oil Mill or by purchasing a ticket to enter the Maison de la Rivière. At the same time, Morges Region doubles your contribution and invests internally in sustainability. In this way guests can achieve a double effect.
Morges and its region is the first destination in the French-speaking part of Switzerland dedicated to Slow Tourism and offers an authentic holiday experience with many facets. Slow Tourism consists of travelling at a slower pace and away from the major tourist centres. Slow travellers take it easy, walking or cycling, seek contact with the local population and attach importance to environmentally friendly behaviour. They appreciate good food and regional products, enjoy tasting local wines and are interested in the cultural heritage of the region. Morges offers plenty of opportunities for Slow Travellers to take the time to discover the region between the lake and the Jura: vineyards, fresh air, small peaceful villages, flower gardens, narrow streets and no stress on the horizon to rediscover our homeland.
