The running event Jungfrau Marathon touches on the social, ecological and economic aspects of sustainability. Free travel by public transport within Switzerland for participants has already been implemented. Logistics services and the transportation of participants are mainly done by train. The transportation bags for runners will soon be made of recycled PET bottles and can be reused as a shopping bag. The printed matter for the event is produced in a climate-neutral way. In catering, disposable tableware will be eliminated. The strategic anchoring of sustainability is a high priority for the organisers of the event.

The organisers of the Jungfrau Marathon will soon provide environmentally friendly transportation bags for all participants. The funky bags are made from recycled PET bottles and are available in six different colours. They can be reused as shopping bags, for example.
