With a contribution of CHF 2 per person per night, the guests of the Hotel City Zurich are given the opportunity to invest the CO₂ emissions of their offer or product in climate protection projects with myclimate and make a contribution to local sustainability. At the same time, the Hotel City Zürich doubles these contributions and invests in its own sustainability. In this way, the guests achieve a double effect with their commitment.
The Hotel City Zurich exists since 1947 and is a privately managed *** star superior boutique hotel, which stands for quality, tradition and modernity. It attaches great importance to the well-being of its guests and employees as well as to future-oriented and sustainable action. The long-standing and continuous work in the field of sustainability was also certified with the Green Globe in 2018. A major contribution to reducing CO2 emissions was the installation of the air-water heat pump. The paper savings achieved by switching from the traditional guest folder to the SuitePad Tablets also play an important role in sustainability. Through the partnership with myclimate, the guest can now also compensate their CO2 emissions resulting from the trip and thus support the hotel in its further sustainability efforts.
