"The idea of offsetting the ecological footprint is nothing new. The innovation of the project is shown in the fact that service providers and customers participate together and the amounts are reinvested locally. The project combines offsetting on the customer and supplier side in a smart way," said the Milestone jury, explaining why the myclimate programme is in with a chance of winning the award. The winners will be announced at the award ceremony. This will take place in the presence of Federal Councillor Guy Parmelin on 12 November in the Kursaal Bern.
The project team is very pleased: "We are extremely happy about the nomination. "Cause We Care" has met with a great response from tourism service providers and their customers and guests. To receive this additional confirmation from the Swiss tourism experts is great. The projects nominated with us are very strong. However, we are looking forward to 12 November not only with excitement but also with confidence," says Basil Gantenbein, project manager of myclimate "Cause We Care".
