As the first «Slow Tourism» region in Switzerland, Morges Région Tourisme aims to be a pioneer in the implementation of sustainability in tourism destinations. Thanks to its participation in the myclimate «Cause We Care» programme, the region is setting a further example for climate protection and sustainability in tourism in French-speaking Switzerland.
Thanks to the «Cause We Care» membership, visitors to the region now have the opportunity to obtain a climate-neutral offer by paying a voluntary surcharge when purchasing activities online. On the one hand, the voluntary contributions compensate the climate-damaging emissions associated with the offer via high-quality carbon offset projects from myclimate. On the other hand, contributions are made to local sustainability measures. At the same time, the Morges tourist region doubles the donated contributions and invests them in its own sustainability.
