#ChallengeAccepted - The World Floorball Championship 2022 will be climate-neutral

swiss unihockey has set itself an ambitious goal: The 2022 Men's World Floorball Championship in Zurich and Winterthur is to be the first climate-neutral floorball World Championship in history. The sustainability goal, the «Green Goal», was defined in cooperation with myclimate «Cause We Care». By choosing sustainable products, efficient travel and the right partners, the CO₂ emissions should be reduced by over 50% to a maximum of 3,000 tonnes compared to the 2018 World Championship in Prague. These remaining CO₂ emissions will in turn be offset by investing in various myclimate carbon offset projects.

To achieve the «Green Goal», creative and innovative measures in various areas as well as the cooperation of the fans, partners and sponsors are planned. Thanks to the «Cause We Care» program, fans can do something good for the environment whilst attending the World Championship. By making a simple commitment, they achieve a double effect. With every ticket purchase they can compensate their own CO₂ emissions of their visit for CHF 2.00. The contributions of the fans will be multiplied by the organiser and invested in sustainability measures around the event as well as in global climate protection projects. In this way, everyone can make a contribution to a sustainable and environmentally friendly event.
